Introducing: Bella

Meet Miss Bella. Bella is a mix of Golden Retriever, Border Collie, and Maremma. At 12 weeks old, she has boundless energy, a sassy attitude, and the ability to make a human fall in love with her immediately with just one look in her golden eyes.

Bella started her Beginners Obedience class last week. So far, in her first two lessons, she’s learned sit, the name game, “look up” [a.k.a. “focus/focus up”], and “lay” [the down command]. She’s also started learning recall through fun games that engage her playfulness and make excellent use of her seemingly endless stores of energy.

Bella’s owner is a first-time owner. She’s never had any dog prior to Bella, never mind a puppy. She’s going through all the normal puppy things for the first time, and Bella is definitely making sure she doesn’t forget the lessons. 😀 But, the challenges and her own inexperience aside, Bella’s owner has done all the right things with this little girl so far: Bella is fully crate trained and almost completely house-broken and potty trained. Now, I’ve been brought in to help her teach little Bella how to be the goodest girl. ♥

Bella is a little firecracker, and it’s going to be so much fun watching her grow and blossom into a wonderful family companion. I’m excited to be working with her and her family, and I’m looking forward to watching the family grow right along with her.

Have a great day, and remember to stay calm and lead on.

    • Isn’t she, though? I can only imagine what she’ll look like as she gets older. I really do have the best job… ♥

    • Hi Thomas! 🙂 She sure is a cutie pie – and I’m pretty sure she knows it. 😀 As for her owner getting started with training, I love that. she’s being proactive about it. For a first-timer, she’s been doing a great job so far. 🙂
