Happy Dawgs Obedience Training believes in and practices a philosophy of honesty, transparency, integrity, and respect not only in training, but in all areas of life. This includes, but is not limited to, any or all social media platforms and other websites with which I affiliate my name.
When I launched my business in 2015, I chose Facebook as the social platform. I already had a personal profile there, so it made sense to me to build my business there through the Pages feature.
As I’m sure you know, the global political climate has been going through tremendous change, lately, and the responses of some popular social platforms has been – in my opinion – both unethical and unfair to their members. Facebook is one of those platforms.
In response, the decision has been made to move my business to a relatively new social platform called Friendevu. This social site practices ethical, responsible, and fair tenets and does not punish its members with shadow-bans and lock-outs for expressing opinions that are different from those of the developers. The site was created and is maintained by Calgarians, and does not affiliate itself with any political party.
The decision to move my business has not been made hastily or lightly. It has been on Facebook for nearly 7 years. Moving it is a rather time-consuming and laborious undertaking. But, I will not be affiliated with a company whose practices are politically motivated and highly unethical.
I hope you will consider following me on Friendevu. For now, you can still reach me on Facebook. However, once the move is completed, the Facebook Page will be closed down. An announcement on the Facebook Page will also be posted.
Thank you for taking the time to read this announcement. Have a great day, and remember to stay calm and lead on.
