Christmas is fast approaching, and puppies are on many people’s gift lists. Are you prepared to commit your time and energy into providing all the things a new puppy needs – like house-breaking and potty training? Are you prepared to deal with being used as a chew toy, or having your furniture or other things chewed up? Are you prepared to get up two to three times each night to take your puppy outside to potty? What about training? Are you prepared to put in the time and effort your puppy needs to learn how to behave with humans and other animals?
Many people get or give puppies as gifts, not realizing the amount of work involved. Puppies are very much like human babies: They require a lot of attention and a lot of work.
If a new puppy is on your Christmas list for yourself or someone else, start them off on the right paw: Enroll them in my 4 Corners Puppy Program, where all of these things – and more – are taken care for you before your puppy comes home.
This 6-week program covers basics training, potty training and house-breaking, teething, socialization to people and other animals, and more. All you have to do is provide your puppy’s food, and commit to at least one class each week to learn how to maintain your puppy’s training when he or she goes home with you.
Prevent the surprises of normal puppy challenges before you bring your puppy home so you can enjoy them when they do come home. Space is limited to one puppy at a time, so book now to get your new family member started off on the right paw.
Have a great day, and remember to stay calm and lead on.
