Good morning, and happy Love Day to everyone. While the weather continues to lock us in a deep freeze with -40ºC wind chills that prevent working outdoors, I’ve been using the time to review my programs and make some adjustments. Effective immediately, the following changes have been made:
*Please note*: These changes do not apply to current clients.
Beginners Obedience: 8 weeks [changed from 6 weeks] This is to allow for the inclusion of extra lessons in areas of behavior which were not previously included but which have shown to be necessary.
Board and Train: minimum stay is 4 weeks [the 1-3 weeks option is no longer available] Long experience has repeatedly proven that a dog needs at least 3-4 weeks just to adjust to a new environment before they can really start learning, retaining what they learn, and become more consistent in practicing the new behaviors. This is a very stressful time for a dog; they have to learn new sights, sounds, and smells, they have to learn and adjust to completely different house rules, and much more. This is especially true for dogs who have never learned correct etiquette around humans, other dogs, or other animals.
If your dog is being a stinker and you feel like you’re at your wits’ end, please reach out to me. I work with your schedule, and best of all, I come to you. Let’s start creating peace in your valley so that you and your dog can finally relax. 🙂
