Focus on Focus

Many people can relate to this: You get a new dog, you train it, and he/she does an awesome job of listening to you…. when you’re in the house. But outside, it’s a different story. Outside, walking the dog is more like trying to walk a freight train. He/She pulls on the leash, weaves back and forth to investigate everything, eats everything it finds…

This is exactly why I train outdoors. The outside world is loaded with all kinds of distractions, some of which can be really dangerous. It’s crucial to your dog’s safety and well-being that they see you as the most important thing in the world, that they always look to you for direction, and that they come to you when you call them, regardless of where they are or what they’re doing.

If you don’t have this bond with your dog and you want to change that, give me a call. I’ll come to you on a day and time that works with your schedule, and we’ll work together to become the change you want to see.

Have a great day, and remember: Stay calm, and lead on.
