Happy Thursday – and happy Turkey Day to all our friends, followers, subscribers, and family members living in the U.S. I wish you all an extra-wonderful day. Today, I’m meeting with Lacey’s new family to give them some help with their other dog, Zeus. Zeus is a neutered Pug and Miniature Pinscher mix who just turned two years old. A couple of weeks ago, he began to exhibit some potentially aggressive behavior towards other male dogs during a visit to one of the dog parks. He has no prior history of this behavior; according to his human, he has always loved visiting the dog parks and has never had problems with the other dogs.
Over the past couple of weeks, the behavior has worsened. He isn’t currently exhibiting this behavior at home – and we want to ensure that he doesn’t – but unless the situation is addressed immediately, it’s only a matter of time before that changes. So, I’m meeting with Zeus and his people today to observe his behavior and start working on correcting it. He has attempted to pick fights with other dogs already; if he succeeds and gets into a fight, the consequences could be very serious.
Have a great day, everyone, and remember: Stay calm, and lead on.
