Lacey is home with her family. They report that she is doing very well accepting and being with the new baby. She does get a little excited around him, but she is doing well with giving space when she’s asked to do so. Aside from her barking problem, Lacey has reintegrated with her family and is practicing what she learned during her time with me.
Now that Lacey is home with her family, I can give more attention to my own dog’s training. Glimmer has been started on trust- and confidence-building exercises at a nearby school, and she’s been making great progress. She’s still prone to intense panic attacks when she see things that scare her, and she’s still trying to run away from those things, but she’s also learning to let me help her work through those moments, face the source, and learn to become calmer. It’s very stressful for her, but she is trying, and she is making progress.
I will be away Aug. 9 to Aug. 13. Classes for all obedience levels will resume Aug. 15.
That’s all for now. Have a great day, and remember to stay calm and lead on.
